Welcome to Netball Online

Those of you who know whats been happening at Netball Online feel free to skip our little intro page and head on over to the forum

For the rest of you, grab a coffee and I will tell you a bit about us.

Netball Online started in early 2001. We called ourselves sportline.co.nz and our aim was to have a website dedicated to New Zealands women athletes. After a while it seemed apparent that the netball community needed a place to go and talk netball so a forum was added to the site, solely for netball. This soon grew with members from around the world. I made the decision to change the name of the website to reflect the more global community and therefore we became sportzonline.com. Time went by and the next step was taken, we took the netball forum and gave it its own site, netballonline.com.

After what seemed years the site grew to over 400 members and with the input of several dedicated stalwarts, we had quite an interesting netball community. We had a gallery, profiles, articles, links and much more. However, it all became too much for the original owner, who made the decision to move on. Another party put their hand up to take over the running of the site. Unfortunately our older members were not comfortable in their new environment and the change of management, so, after conversations with several of the members, I made the decision to create another forum, to compliment what was now being run and hosted in the UK.

If you want to know more, have a read of the forum, otherwise, please join in and help us continue to grow. We won't have all the bells and whistles we once had, but, we all share a common interest, and that is, the game of NETBALL.
